  • Maikel Franco (2-4, triple, run, 2 RBI) was a key for the offense in the IronPigs win (3-4).
  • Lehigh Valley was 6-for-10 with RISP.
  • Chad Billingsley, in another rehab start, went five scoreless innings, and allowed only two hits and two walks, while striking out three.

 

 

Reading Fightin Phils – 4               New Hampshire – 1

  • Roman Quinn (2-3, double, two runs scored, RBI, two walks and a stolen base) led Reading to the victory (3-3).
  • Anthony Vasquez went five shutout innings, and allowed only three hits, one walk and four strikeouts for his 1st win of the year.

 

 

Clearwater – 7                  Jupiter – 4

  • Clearwater brought 10 batters to the plate, and scored seven runs on seven hits in the top of the ninth inning, to give them the victory (4-3).
  • Domonic Brown went 1-for-4 in a rehab assignment for the Threshers.
  • Andrew Pullin went 3-for-5 and knocked in the tying run in the top of the ninth.
  • Aaron Brown went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI’s.
  • Clearwater was 5-for-12 with RISP.
  • David Whitehead went six innings, and allowed seven hits and one earned run in the no decision.

 

 

 

Greensboro – 7                                Lakewood – 2

  • BlueClaws (4-3) bullpen allowed five runs in the ninth inning, on two hits and two walks.
  • Ricardo Pinto went seven strong innings, as he allowed two earned runs and struck out ten.
  • Tim Zier (2-3, double, run scored) and Carlos Tocci (2-4) led the offense for Lakewood.
  • Team was 1-for-10 with RISP.
