Former Flyer captain Chris Pronger elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame

 Two days after his contract was traded to the Arizona Coyotes, former Flyer captain Chris Pronger was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Pronger played 18 seasons in the NHL with the Hartford Whalers, St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks and the Flyers.

He won the Stanley Cup in 2007 with Anaheim and also went to the Final twice, once with the Oilers in 2006 and again here in Philly in 2010. He enters the HHOF with Sergei Federov, Nicklas Lindstrom, Phil Housley, Angela Ruggiero, Peter Karmanos and Bill Hey.
