Philadelphia 76ers rookie center Joel Embiid and his campaign to the All-Star Game in New Orleans reached a couple of new levels today. To start, Embiid tweeted, wondering who Sam Hinkie would vote for to get into All-Star Game, using Hinkie's twitter handle, an account that has all of 12 tweets. It didn't take long for the former Sixers general manager & president of basketball operations long to respond, undoubtedly showing his support for the 7-foot-2 Sixers phenom.

Embiid, known to many as "The Process", gets his nickname from Sam Hinkie's rebuilding phase of the organization that began in 2013. With the third pick of the 2014 draft, Hinkie and the Sixers selected Embiid and since then, he's embraced the rebuild and trusted the process. Two foot surgeries and 853 days later, Embiid made his debut in Philadelphia and has won the hearts of Sixers fans. The 22-year-old native of Cameroon is leading all first year players in scoring (19.4 ppg), rebounds (7.3 rpg) and blocked shots (2.4 bpg).

Hinkie resigned from the Sixers shortly after Bryan Colangelo was hired and hasn't really been present in the league, with the exception of a few SI and ESPN stories here and there, but if the tweet is telling us anything, we could see Hinkie and Embiid reunited in New Orleans come All-Star weekend.

Meanwhile, the Sixers have taken Embiid's All-Star campaign to the next level as well. Fans at the game on January 11 will be able to purchase Shirley Temple's for $5 and the team is also sending the media ingredients and a recipe for Shirley Temple's, Joel Embiid's favorite drink.

For those who are unaware, while Embiid was rehabbing after his second foot surgery, he would use the #ShirleyTemplesDidThis hashtag while posting a picture of him working out and gaining. more muscle. Embiid and the Sixers are back in action on Wednesday night at home as the New York Knicks come to the Wells Fargo Center for the first time this season.
