With Opening Day one week away, the Phillies made some roster moves on Monday. They released catchers Ryan Hanigan and Bryan Holiday, meaning that Andrew Knapp will be the Phillies backup catcher to start the 2017 season.

Knapp, 25, is hitting just .184 this spring, but is 5-for-13 in his last five games with a double, home run and two RBI's. He had a breakout 2015 season in the minors, hitting a combined .308 with 13 homers and 84 RBIs between Double-A Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Last season for the Ironpigs, he hit .266 with eight homers and 46 RBIs.

Jorge Alfaro and Logan Moore will be the two backstops in Lehigh Valley.

In addition to the two releases, the Phils sent two more players to the minors, including speedy outfielder Roman Quinn.

Quinn had a strong spring campaign, hitting .289 with three doubles, a homer, six RBIs, four steals and 12 runs scored in 21 games. He'll head to Triple-A to lead an outfield that will be cornered by Nick Williams and Dylan Cozens. Meanwhile Michael Mariot heads to minor league camp after going 0-1 with a 4.15 ERA in nine appearances this spring.
