With Aaron Nola out of commission on the 10-day DL retroactive to April 21, a promising young arm will be brought in to help out.

According to a report from CSNPhilly's Jim Salisbury, 24-year-old Nick Pivetta will come up from the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs, and will make his MLB debut.

The 22-year-old out of Victoria, British Columbia will start his major-league career by taking on Nola's scheduled start on Wednesday against Miami. In three starts with the IronPigs this season, Pivetta is 3-0 with a 0.95 ERA, 24 strikeouts and two walks. He had also been named the organization's minor-league pitcher of the week, to boot.

Pivetta was acquired from Washington at the 2015 trade deadline for Jonathan Papelbon, and reported to Double-A Reading shortly thereafter. He split last season with the Fightin Phils and IronPigs, and represented Canada in this year's World Baseball Classic.
