The Philadelphia 76ers (28-51) played the Chicago Bulls (39-40) in a home matchup on Thursday night in hopes of snapping their four-game slide and putting a damper on the Bulls' playoff hopes going into the remaining four games of the season.

The Sixers have been aggravated by injuries as of late, and the team has suffered because of it. Sergio Rodriguez missed his sixth straight game with an injury, as Robert Covington and Jahlil Okafor are both out indefinitely with injuries.

Unfortunately for Philadelphia, the Bulls played a much stronger game which ultimately led to the Sixers' gradual demise.

The Sixers cut it close in certain parts of the game trailing by single-digits at one point towards the end, but turnovers and missed shot after missed shot became the achilles heel as the Bulls came away with the 102-90 victory at the Wells Fargo Center.

Nikola Mirotic turned out to be the player of the game for the Bulls with 22 points after going 6-of-8 from downtown. Jimmy Butler played solidly with his second triple double of the season. Butler had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists for Chicago. Bobby Portis played another good game against the Sixers off the bench with 12 points and 11 rebounds to show for.

For the Sixers, the guy who stood out all game long on the floor was Justin Anderson. Anderson finished the night with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting, four boards, and a steal. Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot had a team-high 18 points, three boards, three assists, and two steals.

Nik Stauskas had 13 points, three rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Stauskas spent a little more time than usual off the bench and at the point guard position when T.J. McConnell went down with an ankle injury late in the third quarter. McConnell would return in the fourth when the x-rays came back negative. McConnell had a solid night going up until that moment, where he pushed a triple-double. He ultimately fell short, but finished with nine points, six boards, and eight assists.

Richaun Holmes had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Sixers in the contest. That was Holmes' fourth double-double of his career, where all have came since the All-Star break. (h/t @SixersStats)

The Sixers struggled shooting the long ball going 7-33 from beyond-the-arc for 21.2%. The team had missed 12 straight three-pointers at the beginning of the game until Justin Anderson broke the trend.

Sixers have dropped five straight games, and six of their last seven. The Orlando Magic also fell on Thursday night, so the two teams are now tied for the fourth worst record in the NBA.

Philly has three games remaining this season, with the next two coming at home. The Sixers host the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
