Each week, the Philadelphia Phillies recognize a Pitcher & Player for their outstanding performance during the past seven days. This week, Lakewood first baseman Darick Hall and right-hander Nick Fanti were honored for the games played May 1-7.

Hall, 21, was selected in the 14th round of the 2016 draft and although he's hitting just .239 on the season, this past week has been a huge offensive improvement from the month of April. He hit .304 (7-23) with a double, triple, four home runs, eight RBIs, two walks, nine runs scored and a .957 slugging percentage this past week. Hall has seven extra base hits and 12 RBIs in his last 12 games.

Fanti, 20, was selected by the Phillies in the 31st round of the 2015 draft and his Pitcher of the Week award stems from throwing 8.2 no-hit innings during his last outing. He's held the opposition to a South Atlantic League low of .133 so far this season while also ranking in the top 10 in WHIP (0.79) and ERA (1.48). During his 8.2 innings of dominance against Columbia on May 6, he struck out a career-high nine and walked three. Since being drafted by the Phillies in 2015, he's 10-1 with a 1.72 ERA.
