After Thursday's game in Texas, the Philadelphia Phillies sent young right-hander Nick Pivetta back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in preparation for Aaron Nola's return this weekend. Nola, who has been sidelined since the end of April, is scheduled to start on Sunday. Until then, the Phillies have decided to call upon the services of Adam Morgan in the bullpen.

Morgan, 27, has appeared in two games for the Phillies this season in relief, allowing seven earned runs in six innings. His luck hasn't been much better in Triple-A, posting a 6.08 ERA in 10 appearances for Lehigh Valley with the opposition hitting .308 against him.

With Aaron Nola slated to start on Sunday, Morgan is likely to be here for just two days and then sent back down. He'll probably get some work in place of the Phillies only other lefty, Joely Rodriguez, who allowed seven runs in 0.2 innings on Thursday against the Rangers.

In 40 career games with the Phillies, 36 starts, Morgan is 7-19 with a 5.52 ERA.
