Today the NBA released their merchandise records from April through June of this year.

The Sixers fared well, with the ninth most merchandise sales in the entire league. The data comes from sales records on NBAstore.com between April and June. The Sixers also finished ninth for the 2016-17 regular season.

This signals the Sixers return to the top 10, after being absent from the list during the previous process-driven seasons.

Following the selection of Markelle Fultz, and the debut of Ben Simmons, the Sixers figure to place even higher on the merchandise list next season, and may even see a player appear in the top individual jersey sales.

Since the trade for first overall, the Sixers have received a lot of national media attention between having the first overall pick and the culmination of the process sparking much debate, which will only make the Sixers a more relevant and desirable brand going forward.
