We are a little over 12 hours into NBA's free agent frenzy, and there has been plenty of interesting developments. Between eye-popping dollar amounts, and some interesting trades, the league already figures to look a lot different when the 2017-18 season kicks off.
Jrue Holiday cashes in
Former Sixers point guard Jrue Holiday got a huge pay day from his current team, the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans were in a tough spot with Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins occupying much of the team's cap space. The Pelicans had to offer Holiday a large sum of money to avoid him testing free agency because the Pelicans would not have been fiscally able to lure a free agent point guard to fill his role. The deal will see Holiday make $126 million over the next five seasons.
Paul George has a new home
Although he was not a free agent, Paul George has been the name on everyone's lips after he informed the Pacers that he would not be resigning with them next year. The suitors included the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets but in the end PG13 is going to be joining reigning MVP Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City, as first reported by ESPN's Ramona Shelburne:

The Pacers received shooting guard Victor Oladipo and power forward Domantas Sabonis, which shocked many who believed the Pacers were holding out for a more valuable return.
Jeff Teague signs in Minnesota, Millsap on the way?
The Minnesota Timberwolves have continued to add to their roster after acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Chicago Bulls. The Timberwolves agreed to a three year deal worth $57 million dollars. Minnesota is also expected to meet with all-star power forward Paul Millsap later today:

Ricky Rubio traded to Utah, George Hill looking for a new team
Prior to the Teague signing, the Timberwolves traded incumbent point guard Ricky Rubio to the Utah Jazz for a top-14 protected first round pick in 2018.
This move signals the end for George Hill in Utah, as he will be an attractive option to many teams on the free agent market. The Jazz traded for Rubio to give them leverage while negotiating with their unrestricted small forward Gordon Hayward, but it might not work out…
Gordon Hayward taking his talents to South Beach?
There has been much speculation today that the Miami Heat are emerging as a candidate to land Gordon Hayaward. This comes after Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that the Jazz felt confident in Hayward returning. The Heat have pulled out all the stops to entice Hayward, having him meet with star center Hassan Whiteside and highly respected veteran Udonis Haslem during his visit, as well as some interesting promotions for him to look at on his way to the Heat's arena:

Kevin O'Connor of the Ringer has reported that the Heat have emerged as a frontrunner for Hayward.
Blake decides to stay in LA
Blake Griffin has decided to tough it out and remain with the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are expected to lose shooting guard J.J. Redick in free agency and have already traded point guard Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets for a bevy of mid-tier NBA players. Griffin signed a huge five year, $175 million dollar contract.
Raptors retaining Lowry, Ibaka
The Toronto Raptors are at risk of taking a huge blow to their team this offseason with Serge Ibaka and Kyle Lowry both on the free agent market. In Lowry's case, it was expected that he would leave Toronto this offseason, but that does not appear to be the case now:

The Raptors feel they will be able to see both players in a Toronto uniform next season, however if Gordon Hayward's current situation is an example, confidence can mean nothing.
