Sixers second round pick Mathias Lessort cleared for Summer League

We've seen Markelle Fultz, Furkan Korkmaz and Jonah Bolden thus far in Summer League play and now, Sixers fans will get a glimpse at another one of Philadelphia's second rounders from the 2017 NBA draft in draft-and-stash prospect Mathias Lessort.

The Sixers match-up against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. for their next Las Vegas Summer League Contest.

Lessort, 21, played with JSF Nanterre during the 2016-17 season, averaging 10.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while shooting 57.4 percent from the floor. Lessort's team won both the FIBA Europe Cup and French Cup and in 2015-16, he was named the Co-6th Man of the Year for his time spent with Elan Chalon in the French League.

Selected 50th overall by Philadelphia, the 6-foot-5, 250 pound Lessort won't join the Sixers this season as the team already has 15 players under contract. Lessort recently signed a contract with Bamberg in Germany as well. He won't be the only 2017 pick not playing for the Sixers this season as Latvian center Anzejs Pasecniks, their other first round pick, will play overseas next season. Second rounder Jonah Bolden has impressed, but is under contract for 2017-18 with Red Star Belgrade in Serbia and with the Sixers roster crowded at this point, he's likely to spend at least next season overseas.
