Woj: Sixers Have Offer on Table for J.J. Redick

By Josh Liddick, Sports Talk Philly editor

Well, you made it to the morning, Sixers fans! Saturday morning is here, and still no deals are in place for any free agents, but according to ESPN's Woj, the Sixers have already made free agent veteran shooting guard J.J. Redick an offer.

The Sixers are interested in signing JJ Redick to a 1-year deal/$20 Million+ contract. Redick would rather pursue longterm deal (Woj).

The two sides met last night as the free agent period became officially open at 12:01 a.m. this morning.

It's not surprising that Redick wants a long-term deal, given he's 33 years-old and looking to finish his career with one team instead of bouncing from team-to-team.

Redick spent his last four seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers and has shot some of the highest three-point percentages of his career there.

J.J. Redick has been said to be one of the more ideal fits for the Sixers since free agent rumors started at the end of this past season.

It's obvious the $20 million is the right price to bring in Redick, but will BC budge on his one-year stipulation? Might have to if they truly want Redick to play for the team.
