Redick returns to L.A. as Sixers face Clippers

The Philadelphia 76ers visit the Los Angeles Clippers as they continue their road trip. JJ Redick is facing the Clippers for the first time since signing with the Sixers this past offseason. The Clippers have lost five straight while the Sixers have lost two straight so somebody's streak is going to end.

New look Clippers

The Clippers have really shifted their roster around. After trading Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets, this team looks very different. This is now Blake Griffin's team. However, the team is struggling. Health has once again been an issue for this team. Their (probably) biggest signing of the offseason, Danilo Gallinaro, has continued to have injury problems. The Clippers may also be without Patrick Beverly, who was acquired in the Paul trade from the Rockets. Milos Teodosic is also out for the Clippers.

Losing streaks

The Clippers seem to be losing games that they probably could've won. They've lost to the Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs, and Oklahoma City Thunder. The average losing margin is 8.4 points per game. Considering that three of those games ended by a loss of nine or eight points, and this shows that they stay in games but can't quite get the win in the end.

The Sixers' current losing streak was somewhat expected. They lost to the Sacramento Kings at the buzzer as they couldn't hit a game winning shot. Then, after playing well against the Warriors, they were blown out. You can see those games and understand, although the Kings game really should've been a win.

Redick Returns

JJ Redick, as stated in the title, is coming back to Los Angeles. During his time with the Clippers, he was a strong shooting presence who helped space the floor and put points on the board. He played for four seasons and averaged 15.8 points on 47 percent from the field. He also shot 44 percent from 3-point range. This season with the Sixers, he's scoring 15.6 points while shooting 45 percent from the field and 42 percent from long range. A slight drop there, but still productive. And you can be sure the Clippers could use that scoring now.
