Joel Embiid just has that way with words, and all week he has been in the news for his Instagram battle with Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Well today, Embiid was asked by the media about Sixers' guard JJ Redick, who was signed by the team during this past offseason for one year, $23 million.

Redick is traditionally known for his outside shooting, specifically from beyond-the-arc, and the whole reason the Sixers brought him in in the first place was to improve their three-point shooting dramatically from last season.

While Redick is shooting only 39-percent from three, two points down from his career average of 41.4-percent, his defense has been better, and according to Embiid, it's much better than he thought it was going to be.

Believe it or not, Redick is averaging 2.5 defensive rebounds per game this season, which his a career high in his 13 seasons in the league.

We all know Embiid is honest, sometimes maybe a little too much, but at least he corrected himself on his thoughts about his shooting guard.

Now Redick can be known for his defensive skills, along with his usual offensive skills as well.
