The Sixers will most likely have the services of one of their guards on Thursday night, as the Sixers take on the Trail Blazers in Portland.

Justin Anderson, who has been out since November 15 with shin splints, will most likely make his return from injury on Thursday night.

Anderson has been making progress on coming back from the injury just as the Sixers have been needing a guard to come in, more for depth than for anything else.

Anderson has been a constant presence on the sidelines for the Sixers during his recovery, and now he'll be able to come in and contribute to the team, now hoping to get back on track and continue off of their Christmas Day victory over the Knicks.

Anderson has averaged five points, and 2.7 rebounds per game in 10 games this season. He's shooting 37.5-percent from the field, and 34.6-percent shooting from beyond the arc.

He isn't the most reliable three-point shooter in the world, but he provides another option to shoot from that distance to relieve the pressure off of players like Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Robert Covington, and JJ Redick.

Head Coach Brett Brown will almost surely ease Anderson into the lineup to prevent injury, especially in the case of shin splints.

He's been missing from the team for quite some time now, but I'm sure Anderson is as ready as ever to come back and help out his team and provide meaningful minutes off the bench.
