The Eagles keep on signing players and making moves on Tuesday, a day before the new league year begins, as reports say that free agent linebacker Corey Nelson intends to sign a one-year deal.

The 2014 seventh round draft choice has played the last four seasons with the Denver Broncos.
He was a key defensive reserve and key special teamer, something the Eagles will use effectively.
The 6'1", 231-pound linebacker from Oklahoma has 105 career tackles, six pass deflections, and a fumble recovery during those four seasons in Denver. 67 of those tackles were made in a breakout 2016, where he played in all 16 games, starting in five of them.
In October of last season, the Broncos placed Nelson on injured reserve with a torn biceps.
The Eagles linebacker corps has been depleted, and will be a key area of need in the upcoming NFL Draft. The Eagles will have defensive leader Jordan Hicks returning from injury, along with Mychal Kendricks, Joe Walker, Kamu Grugier-Hill, and Nathan Gerry, and currently Nigel Bradham, who is also set to become a free agent. Nelson will likely find himself fitting in with those players on the roster.
