Former Philadelphia Phillies LHP Cole Hamels — who would "absolutely love" to return via trade this month — was spotted enjoying the MLB All-Star break at Uncle Bill's Pancake House Monday afternoon in Ocean City, New Jersey.

Last week, the 13-year veteran reportedly spent time at his Philadelphia-area home during the Texas Rangers' off day in Baltimore.

Clearly, Hamels remains fond of the city and the surrounding area, which embraced him before, during, and after his MVP performance in the 2008 World Series, 10 years ago.

Hamels, 34, is in the final year of his seven-year, $159 million contract, but has struggled in his third full season in a Rangers uniform, going 5-8 with a career-worst 4.36 ERA and 1.335 WHIP in 19 starts.

While "chatter" occurred earlier this month of Hamels possibly returning to the Phillies, the club has recently targeted another former southpaw of theirs, Toronto Blue Jays LHP J.A. Happ.

Exactly two weeks remain until the non-waiver trade deadline.
