While the Philadelphia Phillies were gearing up for their series opener against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park on Thursday, the club inked two collegiate right-handers to professional contracts, the University of New Orleans' Kyle Arjona, and Siena College's Tom Sutera.

The Phillies offered both Arjona and Sutera undrafted free agent minor league contracts last week, and flew them to the Carpenter Complex in Clearwater, Florida, to complete physicals. Both their deals became official on Thursday, and they are expected to be assigned to the Phillies' Gulf Coast League affiliate.
