The Flyers finished off the offseason checklist, signing the final remaining restricted free agent on the list. According to a report from Renaud Lavoie, the Flyers have signed defenseman Robert Hagg to a two-year, $2.3 million deal. The average annual value of the deal would be $1.15 million.

Hagg played in 70 games in his rookie season, scoring three goals and recording nine points. He was a plus-5 on the season and led the Flyers in hits with 238 and also had 100 blocked shots.

Hagg, a second-round pick by the Flyers in 2013, made his NHL debut in the regular-season finale in the 2016-17 season, taking five shots in the game with four hits and three blocks. Hagg had played the previous three seasons with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. In the 2016-17 season, Hagg scored seven goals and had 15 points in 58 games with the Phantoms.

The 23-year-old Swedish defenseman solidified a role with the Flyers after a strong camp last season and figures to be part of the team's NHL roster again in the 2018-19 season.

With Hagg's signing, the Flyers have locked up all restricted free agents. They have 48 contracts on the books, two shy of the maximum amount.

With business essentially complete for the offseason, the next key date for the Flyers is still over a month away, awaiting the start of training camp and the preseason in September.
