The 2011 Major League Baseball season gets into full swing in four days when the Philadelphia Phillies host the Houston Astros at Citizen Bank Park.

If you have not heard bad weather might be a threat during the game on Friday April 1, 2011 at 1:05 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service the weather outlook is deteriorating as each day passes. As of now, National Weather Service is calling for a possible snow event that may drop 6-12 inches, strong winds, even disrupt travel over a wide area. However, the local weather stations have been saying that heavy rain will damp the area and depending on the timing it could wash-out or delay the game.

Either way the weather isn’t going to be sunny.  Just be prepared for any kind of weather coming to Citizens Bank Park.

Our in-house meteorologist Adam Gonsiewski will be tracking this incoming weather, and updating us each of the next three days.   Adam is a senior and the lead-forecaster at Millersville University.  He will be tracking the potential storm as it approaches and give us the latest.
