In a new study from the research group Brand Keys, Philadelphia Phillies fans were ranked "most loyal"
In this piece from Bloomberg Business News,Brand Keys' president Robert Passikoff recognized the personal involvement of Phillies fans:
“With the Phillies, every game seems to count to the whole team. They seem to take it more personally.”
Despite having more bodies in the stadium than the New York Yankees, the Phillies had a great percentage of seats sold (104%, thanks to standing room sales) compared to the Yankees' 86%.
The Philadelphia Flyers were ranked second among hockey teams; the Eagles and Sixers failed to register on the list.
