The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (AAA) had their Tuesday morning game against the Syracuse Chiefs (Washington affiliate) postponed, due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 14th. The 'Pigs (2-2) play in Rochester on Wednesday, facing the Red Wings (Minnesota affiliate) in a 7:05pm start. Ryan Feierband takes the hill for Lehigh Valley.

It took eleven innings, but the Reading Phillies (AA) defeated the host New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto affiliate), 3-2. Reading improved their record to 4-2. R-Phils' started Josh Zeid pitched well, surrendering two runs in six and two-thirds innings (seven hits, two walks/five strikeouts). Reading reliever Justin De Fratus was even better, pitching three perfect innings (six strikeouts). 1B Matt Rizzotti had three hits for the R-Phils, improving his batting average to .458. Reading (4-2) goes for a three-game sweep Wednesday night at 6:35pm. Box score

The Clearwater Threshers (A) lost to the Daytona Cubs on Tuesday, 5-1. The visiting Threshers, who fell to 4-2 on the season, were held to a single hit. Clearwater starter Jarred Cosart pitched five innings, and surrendered three runs (six hits, one walk/three strikeouts). IHOP fanboy/CF Jiwan James went 0 for 4, with four strikeouts. Top pitching prospect Brody Colvin was placed on the 7-day DL with a back ailment that the organization indicates is "not serious." Clearwater faces Daytona again tonight (7:05pm), as the Threshers attempt to avoid a three-game series sweep. Box score

The Lakewood BlueClaws (A) had their Tuesday night game against the Greensboro Grasshoppers (Florida affiliate) rained out. Lakewood will host a Wednesday doubleheader against Greensboro, starting at 6:35pm.
