The Phillies and their fans have to be excited about the crop of talent arriving at Clearwater.  You think the Philadelphia Phillies have the best rotation. Think Again!  These group of guys are a must watch this year. Believe me.

It’s baseball season! Oh wait, no it’s not. Yes it is. Welcome to Minor League baseball. Philadelphia Phillies class-A affiliate, Clearwater Threshers started the season on the road at Dunedin Blue Jays.

What a great pitching matchup: Phillies top pitching prospect, Jarred Cosart versus Major League pitcher, Brandon Morrow, who started a minor-league rehab assignment.

Morrow allowed five runs (4ER) over three innings and he struck out only two batters and walked one. And he was chased out brought you by Joe Savery (4 for 4), Jonathan Singleton (3-5), cereal lover Jiwan James (1-4, 2 SB), Leandro Castro (3-5, 1 SB), Darrin Ruf (2-6, 1HR).

But back to Halladay-like Jarred Cosart worked out of a jam in the fourth inning but at the same time he did not allow a hit until the fifth inning with two outs. Whoever jinx his no hitter… Should be fired! He managed to give up only two hits, walked four and struck out two to get his first win. Good job Jarred!!
