Phillies Fall 2-0 to the Rangers, Roy Oswalt Loses First Game at CBP

The Phillies went for the sweep of this three-game series against the Texas Rangers, and their chances looked pretty good with Roy Oswalt starting for them, who has allowed two earned runs or less in five of his six starts this season. The only problem with that is the Phillies' offense, it's horrid as of late. That's nothing new, though.

Matt Harrison, the Rangers' starter, is 3-4 (0-4 in last five starts) this season with a 4.27 ERA. That's about it.

The Phillies and Rangers both had a handful of baserunners throughout the game, but the Phillies ended up leaving seven on base, two were in scoring position. So, they had chances, but didn't produce any runs from them.

The Rangers scored a run off of Roy Oswalt in the sixth inning, Mitch Moreland doubled to score Michael Young. Roy was done after seven innings pitched, he allowed one run off of eight hits, striking out three and walking two. Roy is 10-0 in 12 starts at Citizen's Bank Park, but he lost his first game there today, 10-1 now.

J.C. Romero and David Herndon pitched the remainder of the game, Herndon allowed the inherited runner to score after Romero was taken out. 2-0 Rangers.

The Phillies couldn't come back in the ninth, 2010 American League Rookie of the Year Neftali Feliz closed it out, helping the Rangers to their 2-0 victory.

Guys, don't worry, Chase Utley will (probably) be back in the lineup tomorrow.
