Phillies Fall to the Braves, 3-2; Lose the Series

Today's game was the Civil Rights Game which featured the throwback uniforms from the 1970's, and who doesn't love the powder blue uni? Roy Halladay started against Tim Hudson in the rubber match of this series in Atlanta.

This game was scoreless going into the fourth inning until Freddie Freeman singled to score Dan Uggla. John Mayberry Jr. answered in the sixth by sending a ball to the first row in left field, scoring Polanco, giving the Phillies a 2-1 lead.

Freddie Freeman popped up a sacrifice fly in the same inning to score Dan Uggla from third and tie up the game.

Dan Uggla launched a homer to left in the eighth inning to give the Braves a 3-2 lead. Doc stayed in, but due to the lack of runs scored by the Phillies, he took another complete game loss, which is his second consecutive.

The Phils will travel to St. Louis to play a three-game series against the Cardinals starting tomorrow. Cliff Lee against Jake Westbrook at 7:05.
