4 game sweep of the sinking Marlins. 7 game winning streak. Enough said.

Cliff Lee went nine innings, allowing no runs on just two hits while striking out four. Lee has now allowed a total of two runs in his last three starts, and has three wins during this home stand. Pretty good right?! What about Lee as the hitter?

For the offense of your Philadelphia Phillies.  It was all about scoring runs with two outs as usual. Michael Martinez singles then Lee contributed with the bat, hitting a deep with a two-out RBI double off the right-center wall to score Martinez from first to make it 1-0 Phillies in the bottom of the fourth. Ryan Howard hit a solo shot to opposite field to make 2-0 with 2 outs again in bottom of the fifth. Dom Brown singles then Jimmy Rollins hit a line drive double to right field that was misplayed by Mike Stanton in the bottom of the sixth. Phillies lead 3-0.

Ballgame over.

After going 9-2 on this season-long homestand, the Phillies head to face Seattle Mariners for a three game Interleague series beginning on Friday night, when Roy Oswalt vs Rookie of the Year candidate, Michael Pineda.
