Let's get to the juicy part of the game. Blue Jays manager John Farrell and reliever Jon Rauch were ejected in the ninth. Frustrated at home plate umpire Alfonso Marquez after Ryan Howard drew a walk on a close pitch, Rauch lost his temper when Shane Victorino followed with an RBI single, with Utley sliding home just ahead of left fielder Corey Patterson’s throw. Rauch had to be restrained by his manager as he argued with Marquez. After calling Shawn Camp in from the bullpen, Farrell renewed the argument and was also ejected.

Phillies beat the Blue Jays, 5-3, yesterday in Toronto.

The second-longest scoreless streak in Phillies’ history came to a loud end as Cliff Lee’s scoreless innings streak ended at 34 in a 7-4 loss to the Blue Jays.
The Phils couldn’t complete the sweep even after they put up a four-spot in the second inning off of Toronto’s starter, Jo-Jo Reyes. However, the Blue Jays would chip away the lead before the doomsday inning.
Phillies were leading 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th. Cliff Lee (9-6) came out to start the 8th inning for a homerun derby. Eric Thames tied the game with a no-doubt solo shot over the centre-field wall on the first pitch he saw. That set up Bautista's blasted on Lee's 2-1 fastball to his usual sweet spot over the left field wall. Adam Lind singled, Juan Rivera went deep on a 91 m.p.h. fastball. All of a sudden the Blue Jays had a three-run cushion.
Phillies lose 7-4, but took the series from the Blue Jays. Let's all move on.
