Phillies Win in a Wild Night Over the Giants 9-2

The Phillies beat the San Francisco Giants, 9-2 in a wild night at AT&T Park. Not just because of the win, but you gotta wait for it after the brief moment.

Vance Worley (8-1) allowed two runs over seven innings while striking out six and walking one. Also, Mike Stutes and David Herndon both pitched a scoreless inning.

As for the offensive: John Mayberry Jr. continued his extra base hitting with his third home run in four games, a two-run shot in the fourth. Mayberry has 19 hits since returning from the minors and 14 of them are for extra bases (either doubles or homeruns in that span). Victorino and Hunter Pence also homered for the Phils. Jimmy Rollins had a two-run single with two stolen bases.

Let's get it to the wild night part in which everyone on twitter was excited to see apparently.

Benches cleared in the top of the sixth inning during Friday night’s game between the Phillies and Giants after San Francisco reliever R. Ramirez hit Shane Victorino in the back with a pitch. Victorino began walking toward the mound, but he was just using words and Giants catcher Eli Whiteside stepped in front of him. Placido Polanco raced in from second base and was tackled by Whiteside. If you wanna watch the video please click here. Enjoy.

Shane Victorino, Ramon Ramirez and Eli Whiteside were all tossed from the game. Oh boy! Let's get crazy!

Whatever. Phillies win their 8th straight and Hunter Pence is undefeated as a Phillie. Cole Hamels vs Matt Cain at 4:10pm ET on FOX. Better watch the game because you may see some more fun or fireworks! Goodnight.
