Balti-More Whining about “Dirty” Coaching & Other Excuses After Ravens Loss to Eagles

I woke up this morning to the Baltimore sports reporters saying
how the Eagles played “dirty” and that the replacement referees “ruined” the
game. Ravens fullback Vonta Leach told the Baltimore Sun:

“They take a couple of shots, that’s just how they’re coached.
They play dirty. They take shots after the play, a lot of dirty stuff after
plays. We weren’t going to back down. We weren’t going to take that. Anytime
someone thinks they’re a bully, you got to step up or they’ll keep doing it.”

So, Andy Reid is in his fourteenth year of coaching the Eagles and
this is the first time we have heard he coaches “dirty.” I feel like if he
really did coach “dirty” we would be hearing about it sooner.  The game
was chippy on both sides. Both sides received equal penalties. I
have absolutely no idea why it was so chippy. The only thing both teams have in
common is an ex-coach and the fact they are two hours away from each other
(hour and a half if I’m driving).

The replacement referees are impacting all the games in the NFL.
Every team is getting missed calls and wrong placements on the field. That
isn’t an excuse.

Baltimore fans do not seem to remember that
Joe Flacco must have wondered away to get a cheesesteak during
the second half. Flacco had a 52.4% completion rate during this game.
It’s pretty hard to win a game when your rate is that low. But don’t worry; it
was everyone else but your team.
