After coming out of their six-game road trip 2-4, the Phillies (6-9) are back home tonight to host the St. Louis Cardinals (8-6) for a four-game set. With offense being an issue lately, there are other concerns that the Phillies must tend to – including John Lannan. Lannan started last night's game against the Cincinatti Reds and didn't make it through two innings. Eight hits, six runs, one walk, and one HR in 1 2/3 innings to be exact. Lannan was also placed on the DL today with a strained tendon in his knee. Dominic Brown also left the game last night due to a back issue. He recieved an MRI this morning, but has not been placed on the DL.

With Cole Hamels (0-2, 7.56 ERA) on the mound tonight, he is looking for his first win on the year. Hamels pitched a great game his last time out. Despite holding the Miami Marlins to three hits, Hamels was given the no-decision. In six innings pitched, he gave up three hits, one run, three walks, and struck out five with a solid outing. In his career against the Cardinals, Hamels has a 2-3 record with a 3.27 ERA (20 ER in 55 IP).

For the Cardinals, Adam Wainwright (2-1, 2.05 ERA) is on the mound. In his last outing, a complete game shut out against the Brewers, Wainwright struck out twelve. It was Wainwright's first CGSO of the season. In nine innings, Wainwright allowed four hits, and allowed no walks. In his career, Wainwright has kept a tab on Philadelphia, owning a 3-1 record with a 2.20 ERA (12 ER in 49 IP).

There is a huge lineup change for tonight's game. Charlie Manuel has decided to put Jimmy Rollins in the lead off spot and give the two-hole to Freddy Galvis, who will play in left field tonight. Ben Revere will hit in the seventh spot of the lineup for the first time this season.
