LeSean McCoy Stands By Knowshon Moreno Tweet

Shady1LeSean McCoy refused to back down from his Sunday Twitter attack on Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno Wednesday.

It's become needless to say that LeSean McCoy's Twitter account has become a must follow.

On Sunday McCoy went right after Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno in the form of a retweet with ESPN's Skip Bayless and he stood by those comments Wednesday.

"Knowshon sucks RT @RealSkipBayless: Peyton is doing what Peyton always does. But Knowshon is KILLING the Cowboys." Was McCoy's tweet.

On Wednesday, the Eagles running back and league leader in both rushing and yards from scrimmage reiterated his feelings towards the Broncos running back.

"Yeah, I meant it," McCoy quipped when asked if he meant what he tweeted on Sunday. "I don't regret it at all."

It's unclear what exactly prompted McCoy to lash out at Moreno on Sunday, or where his apparent hatred for the Broncos running back stems. However, Moreno, 26, was selected 12th overall by the Broncos in 2009 while McCoy was forced to wait until the 53rd pick to hear his name called by the Eagles.

McCoy explained that he didn't have any conversations with head coach Chip Kelly about the situation and it hadn't been addressed by anyone on the Eagles staff.

To add levity to the situation, McCoy began his press conference by praising his Tampa Bay Buccaneers counterpart who he will be facing off against Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.

"I just want to say Doug Martin is a heck of a running back," he said. "He doesn't suck, for sure."

McCoy enters week six with a league leading 514 yards and three touchdowns on 98 carries while adding 186 receiving yards to boot. Meanwhile, Moreno began the season as part of a running back by committee for the Broncos and has posted 331 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season, including 93 yards and a score against Dallas on Sunday.

This isn't McCoy's first dust-up on Twitter as he had a much publicized back-and-forth with the mother of his child in January.
