Earl Wolff likely will miss Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins and could miss significant time with a knee injury suffered against the Green Bay Packers in week ten.

The rookie safety injured his knee in the first half of Sunday's 27-13 Eagles win at Lambeau Field and will likely miss several weeks.

"He's week-to-week" Eagles defensive coordinator Billy Davis told reporters at the Novacare Complex Tuesday. "I'd like to say he's day-to-day, but it looks like he's week-to-week with that knee."

It doesn't appear that Wolff will need surgery, but the injury is uncharted territory for the 23-year old.

"It's tough, man," Wolff said Tuesday at his Novacare Complex locker. "It's the first time I've ever missed a game in my life. I've been playing since I was in third grade and this will be the first game I've missed, ever.

Wolff told the media that his injury is being labeled as a hyper-extension and that there doesn't appear to be any structural damage.

On Monday, head coach Chip Kelly was evasive when asked about the injuries to Wolff, Mychal Kendricks and Jason Peters, saying that he did not have any updates on their status nearly a full day after the game.

"We've dealt with it," said Kelly. "That's why I'm not gonna make statements because we thought Pat's was going to be a week or two deal, and then that lingered. I thought Mike's was going to be a short deal and that's gone on."

In Wolff's absence, veteran Patrick Chung will return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Washington Redskins after battling a shoulder injury off-and-on through the course of the season.

"We're lucky to have Pat back," Davis said.

Because of Chung's inability to stay  healthy for an extended period of time this season, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that either Kurt Coleman or Colt Anderson see the field Sunday.

Meanwhile linebacker Mychal Kendricks was also injured against the Packers on Sunday and his status remains unclear, but it does not appear likely that he will be healthy enough to go against the Redskins on Sunday.

If Kendricks is forced to miss any time, the Eagles will likely turn to Najee Goode who stepped in Sunday and posted two tackles but showed a good nose for the ball throughout the game.

The Eagles are in the midst of a five game stretch that has seen Davis' group allow an average of just under 17 points per game. However, against the Redskins they'll likely need to try and continue that production without two  of their starters.
