Rodgers, Packers roll past Eagles

When the Eagles made the trip to Lambeau Field last season, they did not face Aaron Rodgers. This time, they got the full Lambeau experience, complete with Rodgers dominance.

Rodgers and the Packers put up 17 first-quarter points and never looked back, dominating the Eagles in a 53-20 win on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles defense held the Packers to a Mason Crosby 27-yard field goal for the opening score.

Rodgers would connect with Davante Adams from six yards out for the Packers first touchdown and Micah Hyde returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown to cap the first-quarter scoring.

The Eagles got on the board with a 33-yard field goal by Cody Parkey. But that was quickly answered on a 27-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers to Jordy Nelson.

A one-yard touchdown run by Eddie Lacy capped the Packers first-half scoring. Another 33-yard field goal by Parkey in the closing seconds of the first half made it a 30-6 game.

The Packers scored nine more points in the third on another Crosby field goal and a 52-yard interception return for touchdown by Julius Peppers.

Mark Sanchez found Jordan Matthews for the Eagles first touchdown of the game with 2:21 left in the third.

The Packers again scored 14 points in the fourth, adding a 32-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers to Lacy and a 49-yard fumble returned for a touchdown by Casey Heyward.

Sanchez hit Jeremy Maclin for a 20-yard touchdown midway through the fourth to cap the scoring.

The Packers had 475 yards of offense while the Eagles had 429 yards, even despite the lopsided score. Once again, the Eagles weakness was turnovers – with the Packers winning that battle, 4-0.

Sanchez was 26-for-44 for 346 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Rodgers was 22-for-36 for 341 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.

LeSean McCoy carried the ball 23 times for 88 yards. Lacy rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries.

Matthews turned in another strong game, making five catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. Maclin also had nine catches for 93 yards and a touchdown. Randall Cobb had 10 catches for 129 yards. Nelson had four catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Cary Williams led the Eagles with seven tackles. The Eagles had one sack as a team, recorded by Vinny Curry

Morgan Burnett led the Packers with 10 tackles. Tramon Williams and Peppers had interceptions. Nick Perry and Heyward recovered fumbles.

The Eagles dropped into a tie for first in the NFC East with the Cowboys at 7-3. The Eagles return home in Week 12 to host the Tennessee Titans. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
