On the eve of the NHL's free agency period, the Flyers locked up another of their pending free agents by signing Ryan White to a one-year deal.
In his first season with the Orange and Black, White solidified himself as a dependable bottom-six forward, scoring career highs in goals (six), assists (six) and points (12), and earning time on the first power play unit. He missed the first 48 games of the season after undergoing surgery on a torn pectoralis just prior to training camp.
White also endeared himself to Flyers fans in a Feb. 5 game against the N.Y. Islanders, as he broke Matt Martin's nose in a first-period fight.
White's contract is reportedly worth $800,000 -- an increase from his $575,000 salary last season.
