The Flyers had two picks on Friday night's first night of the NHL Draft, defenseman Ivan Provorov and forward Travis Konecny. Flyerdelphia had profiled both players – Provorov here and Konecny here – and also provided scouting reports on them last night – Provorov here and Konecny here.

Today, the Flyers added seven more players with their remaining picks. Here they are again and here is a brief scouting report on each.

  • 3rd Round, 70th overall – G Felix Sandstrom – Sandstrom had mononucleosis and that hampered his season. But otherwise, he was regarded as one of the top goalies entering the draft. A flexible young netminder who brings a calming presence and great mechanics, his injury woes make him a bit of a risk, but the reward could outweigh that.
  • 3rd Round, 90th overall – G Matej Tomek – I profiled him before the draft and was not surprised to see the Flyers take him. He had an incredible season with Topeka playing in his first American season, but some think that level was too easy for him. He's got the tools of a solid young goaltender and actually seemed like a more realistic pick at 70. So to get him at 90 is excellent. He's also a North Dakota commit, which makes you wonder if Dave Hakstol's influence came into this pick.
  • 4th Round, 98th overall – LW Samuel Dove-McFalls – This is one of those hard-working forwards that could make an impact in the NHL, but will require a lot of patience. He's essentially an average player – which makes sense in the middle rounds – that has the foundation for his offensive game but needs to improve on the details. He's a smart player with good hockey knowledge, but doesn't have the wow factor that other players do. But he is a good defensive forward that could serve a purpose on the penalty kill.
  • 4th Round, 104th overall – C Mikhail Vorobyov – A good two-way player who can command the face-off circle and has great hockey knowledge. He is a very responsible player for his age and brings a wealth of defensive talent to his team. The focus on defense sometimes takes away from his chances in the offensive end, but he is formidable there. Good vision and stickhandling help make him a strong player moving the puck and creating chances for teammates.
  • 5th Round, 128th overall – RW David Kase – He's an advanced player that probably got overlooked for his size. But it is becoming a small player's league and Kase could get there with due time. Some had projected him as a third-round pick, but he fell to the Flyers in the fifth round. If speed and skill is the name of the game, then Kase can play the game. He's a smooth, shifty skater and has playmaking ability while being responsible enough to make strong defensive plays.
  • 6th Round, 158th overall – C Cooper Marody – Another speed and skill guy, Marody is a playmaker in the offensive zone with the wheels to make the game a nightmare for opposing defensemen. He needs to work on his strength, which may improve his ability to play the man in the defensive zone and may also help his passing and shooting power, but overall, the foundation of solid skills are there.
  • 7th Round, 188th overall – G Ivan Fedotov – He put up good numbers last season in Russia and has laid the groundwork for becoming a solid goaltending prospect. Ultimately, the Flyers didn't want to leave any stone unturned when trying to develop a goalie. The third goalie selection is kind of a toss up for a seventh-round pick.
