It’s another Sunday blackout for Eagles against Cardinals

In recent years, the Eagles have pulled out the Sunday blackout promotion, wearing all-black uniforms, for big games that have usually been on Sunday night under the lights at Lincoln Financial Field.

Riding a two-game winning streak and looking for another key victory, the Eagles will pull out the stops again. Sunday will now not only be a night game — flexed from 1 p.m. to Sunday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. — but will also be a blackout game as the Eagles take on the Arizona Cardinals.

The Eagles wore the all-black uniforms on Oct. 19 in Week 6, defeating the Giants, 27-7. They also wore the all-black uniforms in Week 6 of the 2014 season on Oct. 12, defeating the Giants, 27-0.

The Eagles wore their black jerseys against the Cardinals on Thanksgiving in 2008, claiming a 48-20 victory.

The Cardinals come into the game with an 11-2 record and can officially clinch the NFC West with a win. The Eagles, at 6-7, will be looking to either keep pace or claim the outright lead of the NFC East from the Washington Redskins.
