Sunday Six Pack: Eagles at Giants

When the schedule came out and an NFC East matchup like this was set up for Week 17, there were a lot of different scenarios that ran through the heads of Eagles fans.

Being 6-9 and out of the playoffs was not one of them.

But that's where we sit, with one game remaining, the Eagles will finish with a losing season, either 6-10 or 7-9, and have a new voice on the sidelines next season.

The news of Chip Kelly's firing overshadowed everything else with this game, the final one on a disappointing year for the Eagles.

Here are the six keys and things to watch in Sunday's season finale against the New York Giants.

Pat Shurmur – The interim Eagles head coach is getting an audition as a head coach for one week and is the subject of a lot of attention in the wake of Kelly's axing. It may be his only game at the helm for the Eagles, but we'll see what he can do.

Odell Beckham Jr. – Coming off a one-game suspension, Beckham will want to finish the season on a high note. As one of the most dangerous receivers in the game, he could certainly carve up the Eagles secondary.

DeMarco Murray – Now that Kelly is gone, Murray may get more touches under Shurmur. Murray's season is a microcosm of the Eagles season. It's been disappointing, but you certainly hope better things are ahead for Murray.

Sam Bradford – Unlike Murray, who seems to clearly be staying in Philadelphia, Bradford's future is uncertain. With Shurmur primarily running the passing game, Bradford has done well this season. It's been an audition year for Bradford, who gets one last chance to prove he can be the quarterback for the Eagles.

Fletcher Cox – One of the shining points in a disappointing season, Cox is capping a Pro Bowl year. Look for him to have a big game to put the finishing touches on an excellent season. He enters Sunday's game half a sack short of double digits.

Jordan Matthews – The Eagles top receiver this season enters the game with an approachable milestone of his own. Matthews needs just 57 yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the season. Expect him to be targeted early and often.
