Eagles reportedly interviewed NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah for head of player personnel role

A source close to Jimmy Kempski of Phillyvoice.com indicated that the Eagles, prior to suspending their search for a head of player personnel, interviewed former scout and current NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah for the position

Here are the details provided within Kempski's article

According to a source, before the Eagles put that search on hold, they interviewed NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah for the job.

A spokesperson for the Eagles confirmed that the interview took place, but said that the Eagles did not make a formal offer. Jeremiah subsequently accepted a new long-term contract with NFL Network.

As it stands, the Eagles appear as if they will head into the 2016 NFL Draft with their current scouting and personnel team and revisit the possibility of acquiring someone to work along with Howie Roseman afterward.

Jeremiah joined the Eagles organization as a scout in 2010 and worked for them prior to making the switch over to television. He is notorious for his story regarding the team's supposed infatuation and pursuit of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. He has spoken highly of the Eagles since moving along from his role within their personnel department, and has established himself as one of the more dynamic and knowledgeable personalities on the NFL Network.

There are no details as to how far along in the interview process Jeremiah was, but his not receiving a formal offer should indicate such. That said, his willingness to sit down with the Eagles should reveal that he is at least open to a return to such a role despite signing a long-term deal with the NFL Network. As it stands, the Eagles will continue to go forward with their current staff and may or may not follow through on their supposed desire to hire such an individual.
