Phillies face Astros in prime time

Cedric Hunter looks to continue making the case for the big league roster

Starting Pitching Matchup:

Philadelphia Phillies  (14-6) Houston Astros (12-8)
RHP Charlie Morton RHP Michael Feliz
(1-0, 8.53 ERA) (1-0, 0.90 ERA)

Charlie Morton starts today for the Phillies, looking to improve on last week's results as his former club, the Pirates, knocked him around a bit for five runs over four innings. With a close battle for 5th starter between Adam Morgan and Vince Velasquez, Morton hasn't exactly been thrilling this spring so far, so a good start would be refreshing for everyone.

Cedric Hunter is one of the stories of the spring on the offensive side. Signed to little fanfare and long odds to make the team, Hunter appears to have given himself a good shot, hitting .295 with .970 OPS this spring. Aaron Altherr's injury helps his odds and he's taken full advantage. David Lough who is also in the outfield mix bats lead off.

On the Astros side, Michael Feliz looks to continue a strong spring campaign with a 0.90 ERA over ten innings pitched and eight strike outs. Former Phillies prospect Jon Singleton is at first base and batting eighth.
