Report: Eagles agree to 1-year deal with CB Nolan Carroll

It sounds like another Eagle is returning to the team in 2016.

According to a source of CSN Philly's Derrick Gunn, the Eagles and cornerback Nolan Carroll have agreed on a one-year deal that will bring him back to the team next season.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Carroll played 11 games in his second season with the Eagles, recording 57 tackles, two interceptions — one for a touchdown — and 10 passes defended. He suffered a season-ending injury when he broke his ankle in the Eagles Week 12 loss on Thanksgiving to the Detroit Lions.

Carroll joined the Eagles in 2014, playing in all 16 games in the 2014 season, but emerged as a starter in 2015.

The 29-year-old cornerback joins a group of six other players signed to new or restructured contracts this season: Zach Ertz, Brent Celek, Lane Johnson, Vinny Curry, Najee Goode, Malcolm Jenkins and Sam Bradford.
