The Phillies kick off a weekend series against Atlanta tonight. It's the last break for the 24-17 team as they head off to Detroit and Wrigley next week and then get the Nationals at home so it's a good time to capitalize on a lessor opponent as the Braves are well in the cellar at 10-30.
Aaron Nola is on the mound for the Phillies, coming off a dominant starts against the Reds last week, pitching seven strong and striking out nine. After an afternoon off for some of the regulars on Wednesday, it's a standard lineup this evening with all the everyday players intact.
Matt Wisler has been Atlanta's best starter this far this season and has pitched into the 8th inning in each of his last three starts, including during a losing yet quality performance on 5/10 against the Phillies. It's been tough for Atlanta to find many positives this season but it appears they definitely have on in Wisler.
