Sixers-Rockets: Game 10 Preview

The Philadelphia 76ers conclude their brief road trip with a stop in Houston this evening for a match-up with the Rockets. The hope is the Sixers can contain the triple-double machine that is James Harden. Joel Embiid will play in his first road game this season after not suiting up against Charlotte or Atlanta.

The Sixers are coming off of another blowout against the Hawks as they lost 117-96. Clearly, the Hawks are a match-up problem for this team that has generally been in close games all season. Jahlil Okafor looked solid in the absence of Joel Embiid as he went for 18 points and six rebounds. The final score was even more disappointing when you realize the Sixers kept it competitive in the first three quarters. With the amount of weapons that the Hawks have, they didn't have too much of an issue pulling away in the final 12 minutes.

On the other side of the court, even with Harden's second consecutive triple-double, the Rockets were unable to beat the Spurs on Saturday night. The Spurs are undefeated on the road though. Harden had 28 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds. He is averaging a double-double per game on the season with 30 points and 13 rebounds through nine games. Eric Gordon actually led the team in scoring on Saturday with 27 points off the bench.
