Flyers Alumni Game Participants Announced

The Flyers Alumni Association has released the full list of participants for Alumni Weekend, to be held on Jan. 13 and 14.

The 13th will feature a special, meet-and-greet event at SugarHouse Casino where fans will have the unique opportunity to meet Flyers legends from all eras of the franchise's history.

The 14th will feature Flyers alumni taking on members of the Penguins alumni in a game at Wells Fargo Center at 7 p.m.

Here is the playing roster for that night's game as released by the Flyers on Wednesday, Jan. 11.

The Flyers also announced a list of 10 guest coaches. That list is as follows:

Also in attendance will be 10 members of the original Flyers roster from the 1967-68 season. Those members include Bernie Parent, Doug Favell, Lou Angotti, Leon Rochefort, Brit Selby, Forbes Kennedy, John Mizsuk, Garry Peters, Claude Laforge and Don Blackburn. Joe Watson is also an original Flyer and the only player from the 1967-68 team that will be playing in the game.

The Penguins alumni game roster is headlined by Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier. Due to other duties and commitments in the NHL, Penguins legends Mario Lemieux and Ron Francis are unable to attend. 

Others on the Penguins roster include several players who suited up for both franchises such as Jeff Chychrun, Gordie Roberts, Mike Bullard and Mitch Lamoureux. Some other and more notable players who played for both the Flyers and Penguins are also unable to attend. They include Mark Recchi and Rich Tocchet.

Other members of the Penguins roster include Colby Armstrong, Ryan Malone, Greg Malone, Dave Hannan, Troy Loney, Jamie LeachPhil Bourque, Dennis Owchar, Francouis Leroux, Kim Clackson, Doug Bodger, Jocelyn Thibault and Jean-Sebastian Aubin

The Flyers and Penguins alumni game will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 and very limited tickets are available in the near sell-out event. Tickets do remain for the meet-and-greet event on Friday, Jan. 13, but are going fast.

The game will also be televised on TCN with Clement hosting and appearances in the booth by guests Hospodar, Crossman, Parent and Favell. Lou Nolan, the PA voice of the Flyers since 1973, will also be interviewing players from the bench during the game. Television coverage starts at 6:30 p.m.
