Eagles Add 4 with Undrafted Free Agent Signings

Even when the NFL Draft came to a close with the final pick at 253rd overall on Saturday evening, the work was not done for teams. There were several undrafted free agents available for the taking.

The Eagles have added four players as undrafted free agents: running back Corey Clement, quarterback/wide receiver Greg Ward Jr., center Tyler Orlosky and punter Cam Johnston.

Flyers Claim 2nd Overall Pick at 2017 NHL Draft

The NHL Draft lottery was held on Saturday night, determining the Flyers draft position in the first round.

Following the lottery, the Flyers were among the three finalists for the top three overall picks. They finished with the second overall pick, their highest selection since 2007.

Eagles Scouting Report: DT Elijah Qualls

The Eagles turned back to defense in their final two picks of the Draft, following up the pick of safety Nathan Gerry with another piece for the defensive line.

The Eagles selected defensive tackle Elijah Qualls of Washington with the 214th overall pick. Qualls is 6'1" and 313 pounds.

Eagles Select DT Elijah Qualls with 214th Overall Pick

Barring any more trades, the Eagles made their final selection of the 2017 NFL Draft in the sixth round.

With the 214th overall pick, the Eagles selected defensive tackle Elijah Qualls from Washington.

Philadelphia to bid for 2026 All-Star Games/Super Bowl, per Ed Rendell

While Philadelphia appears to have done the best job of hosting the NFL Draft in recent memory, the city may just be scratching the surface in terms of hosting major sporting events over the next decade. 

Former Philadelphia mayor and Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell appeared on SportsRadio 94 WIP this morning and said that the city is targeting 2026 to host the three major All-Star games and the Super Bowl:

Eagles Scouting Report: WR Shelton Gibson

Day 3 has been all about offense for the Eagles.

After using their two fourth-round picks to take a wide receiver and a running back, the Eagles were back on the clock eventually in the fifth round -- after trading down twice -- and took another wide receiver, Shelton Gibson from West Virginia. Gibson is 5'11", 191 pounds.

Eagles Trade Down, Select WR Shelton Gibson with 166th Pick

The Eagles made another trade when their time on the clock came in the fifth round. They traded the 155th pick to the Tennessee Titans for the 164th overall pick and a sixth-round pick at 214th overall.

They then traded the 164th pick and a sixth-round  to the Miami Dolphins for the 166th pick and another fifth-round pick at 184th overall.

With the 166th pick, the Eagles selected wide receiver Shelton Gibson of West Virginia.

Eagles Scouting Report: RB Donnel Pumphrey

The Eagles traded up in the fourth round, surrendering their 139th pick and the 230th pick in the seventh-round for the Vikings 132nd pick.

After focusing on wide receivers in the 3rd round, the Eagles shift their attention the running backs, drafting Donnel Pumphrey with the 132nd overall pick.
