The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 109-105 as they grab a win in California on this road trip. They had previously lost to the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors.

The Sixers led for most of the game, and led by as much as 14 in the game. They briefly lost the lead during the 4th quarter, but they managed to hold on towards the end.

Joel Embiid scored 32 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. All game, he was aggressive, and it showed. He was doing his regular "he can't guard" me taunt and put on a display of moves. At one point, he and Willie Reed got into a scuffle that resulted in Reed getting a flagrant foul on Embiid.

Robert Covington had 31 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals. He shot 5-8 from 3-point range and made all eight of his free throws.

Ben Simmons acted as the motor of the team. He had 22 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block. He ended up nearly fouling out of the game as he ended the game with five fouls. But, he played very well.

Embiid, Covington, and Simmons put up big numbers that we haven't seen from a Sixers roster in a while. They each played the way they are used to and didn't really get into each other's way. That's a great sign for chemistry. They just needed time.

So, now, they stay in L.A. as the next game is against the Los Angeles Lakers in Staples Center on Wednesday.
