Three Sixers to play in Rising Stars Challenge

The NBA has announced the rosters for the annual Mountain Dew Kickstart Rising Stars Challenge that takes place over the league's All-Star weekend.

The World team's roster consists of three Sixers' players:

Dario Saric (Croatia) and Joel Embiid (Cameroon) both were on the world roster at last year's Rising Stars Challenge. Embiid did not play due to injury but Saric played well scoring 17 points on 70% shooting (60% from three) with five rebounds and four assists.

Ben Simmons (Australia) will be making his debut in the game after being deemed a snub from the All-Star Game in his rookie season.

Embiid is a starter for the Eastern Conference in the All-Star Game, so it will be interesting to see how that affects his availability for the Rising Stars Game.

All-Star weekend will take place from February 16-18 in Los Angeles, California. The Rising Stars game will take place on the first night of the weekend at 9:00 p.m. ET.
