Embiid on attending Super Bowl: “I want to experience that”

It would be a surprise if he wasn't there to cheer on the Eagles in Super Bowl LII, but it is official, Sixers center Joel Embiid will be in Minnesota when the Eagles take on the New England Patriots.

In Derek Bodner's article from The Athletic, Embiid talks about how excited he is to watch the Eagles play and even just experience what it's like to attend an event as big as the Super Bowl.

“I want to sit in the stands to kind of see how it is. I've heard that it's the biggest event in American sports, so I want to experience that. … I want to mix it up. Go in the suite, and then sit in the stands. I want to feel like a regular person too, so I'm going to do that.”

Embiid is no stranger to Eagles games this season, in fact he's had a pretty good reputation of going to games and getting a positive result out of them.

Joel Embiid will make the flight to Minnesota following the Sixers' game vs. the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night. It will be Embiid's first back-to-back of his career.

Hopefully, this is the reaction we'll see from Embiid at the conclusion of Super Bowl LII on Sunday night. It never gets old.
