Sixers, NBA release full schedule for 2018-19 season

The NBA released the schedule for Opening Night, Christmas Day, and Martin Luther King Day just a couple days ago, but on Friday, the schedule for the entirety of the season was released.

The Sixers are going to have a pretty eventful upcoming season with new players on new teams as opponents as they attempt to make a deep run in the Eastern Conference with not as much competition as last season.

We already know the Sixers will face the Celtics on the road twice, on Opening Night and on Christmas Day.

Before highlighting the specifics of the 76ers' upcoming slate of matchups, it's important to note that the NBA made some major changes when making up the schedule.

There will be no four games in five nights, back-to-backs are at historic lows (average of 13.3 per team this season. 19.3 in '14-15 and 14.4 last season), and the NBA eliminated eight games in 12 nights for the first time.

Now, diving into the Sixers schedule for the upcoming season. Breaking News: It's going to be a lot of fun this year.

The Sixers will play in 27 nationally televised games, 11 of which will be on TNT, 10 on ESPN, and six on ABC. It's 39 nationally televised games when including NBA.TV games.

Three of the ABC games will be on Sundays at 3:30 pm. (2/10 vs. Lakers, 3/10 vs. Pacers, 3/17 at Bucks). 

Also of note, the Sixers will play back-to-back games in Golden State and against the Lakers in LA on January 29 and 31.

It will be Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons vs. runner-up Donovan Mitchell as the Sixers host the Jazz on November 16 at 7 p.m.

The Sixers face Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors twice at the Wells Fargo Center on December 22 and February 5.

The Oklahoma City Thunder come to Philly on January 19 at 3:30 p.m. on ABC, two days before the Rockets visit Philadephia on MLK Day on January 21 at 8 p.m. on TNT.

The defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors face the Sixers in Philly on Saturday, March 2 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC. 19 of the Sixers' 41 games at home will be on a weekend.
