The Flyers 20-year-old phenom in goal has earned another honor.

Last week, Carter Hart was named the NHL's Rookie of the Month for January. On Monday, another honor came in, as Hart was named the NHL's Second Star of the Week.

Hart had a 3-0-0 record with a 2.27 GAA and .931 save percentage in his three starts last week, defeating the Winnipeg Jets, Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers during the week.

Hart becomes the sixth Flyers goalie to take home a Star of the Week honor, joining Brian Elliott, Ilya Bryzgalov, Martin Biron, Michael Leighton and Steve Mason. Hart is also just the second rookie to be named a Star of the Week, joining Matt Read for the week of Nov. 20, 2011. The NHL started the Three Stars of the Week in the 2006-07 season.

Hart's Rookie of the Month honor was also just the third time a Flyers rookie had received the honor and second for a goaltender. Hart joins current teammate James van Riemsdyk (November 2009) and Sergei Bobrovsky (November 2010) as the only other Flyers rookies to received the honor.

Winnipeg forward Jack Roslovic was named the First Star of the Week with five goals and one assist in four games. New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad was named the Third Star of the Week with three goals and three assists in three games.

Hart is back in goal on Monday night as the Flyers go for an eighth straight win over the Vancouver Canucks.
