The Eagles have filled yet another of their vacant coaching positions, this time promoting from within to replace Gunter Brewer as the wide receivers coach.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that Carson Walch will now take over the position.

His promotion will keep some consistency for returning wideouts Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, Shelton Gibson, Mack Hollins, Braxton Miller, Dorren Miller and any of Jordan Matthews, Golden Tate or Mike Wallace should any of the three be re-signed.

Walch spent time coaching in the CFL prior to taking a job with the Birds. He was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for the Edmonton Eskimos.

The defensive line coach position remains vacant and the assistant wide receivers coach position is now open.

Walch joins Roy Istvan, G.J. Kinne and Matt Burke as the new coaches on the staff for the 2019 season.
